Discover the Rich History of Latymer Court
Latymer Court opened in 1934 and was then the largest single luxury block in Europe, boasting the “most modern style and built-in amenities”. The position of the site enabled the architects, Gordon Jeeves of Hanover Square to plan the flats so as to obtain an abundance of light with commanding views over what were once the playing fields of Colet Court.
Latymer Court is still a prime site with over 350 flats enjoying the advantage of maximum natural light and local amenities. Indeed the original design and feel of the block have been carefully maintained along with addition of communal heating and hot water from a modern central boiler system.
Latymer Court is still one of London’s largest private estates and is often likened to a village with its thousand or more residents and occupying over 1.5 hectares of land.
